About
I’m Annamie.
Executive and Career Coach
&
Mental Fitness trainer.
My work life hasn’t followed a straight line. After leaving education I worked first in publishing and then for ten years in the television industry. And then it went crazy. After starting a family I became an ESOL teacher, a mentor, supported refugees, developed dance, film and building projects, formed a charity, helped raise three daughters and for the last twenty years I’ve also co-owned an events design business. There’s more but the list would be too long.
Why so much change? Because although the bio looks interesting and varied, it doesn’t tell the story of what it felt like. Working in TV led to burn-out. I kept changing because most of the time I lacked confidence, was insecure and felt that I was in the wrong place. I didn’t know where the right place was though. I didn’t know what I wanted.
Looking back it makes sense. I grew up in a mixed household living between three cultures and several languages and I also lost a parent when I was very young. I coped by adapting to fit in wherever I found myself. By the time I entered the workplace I didn’t really know who I was because I’d been too busy checking what everyone else wanted. So I went from job to job fitting into someone else’s idea of what I should be doing. It was exhausting and stressful.
That’s changed now. As a coach I’ve found my purpose and as a result I feel grounded, meaningful, confident of my future. My work now is to help others feel the same.
I know what it’s like to feel lost and frustrated. To feel like everyone else knows how it’s done. And I know how to change it.
I can help you discover your vision and create a life that is rewarding and interesting and fun. I can show you how to build your mental fitness so you can face life’s challenges when they come. Because life can be tough sometimes and it can be amazing. Through coaching I have learned how to have more of the amazing stuff and how to deal better with the tough days when they come.
If that sound like what you’re looking for, get in touch here and let’s have a conversation.
